After our short stay in Charleston we headed to Edisto Island, South Carolina, to the family home of former Wilton neighbors Lulah and Mark Devine (and Madeleine and Blanche). Lulah’s grandfather had bought an old plantation after returning from WWII, and the house belongs to another century (especially noticeable on chilly January evenings). But it has a lot of charm, and the surrounding land is beautiful, even in winter. Here are some photos:
